In Shepherd Paine’s book on Armor Roy Wells writes that he uses this brand exclusively.  Compared to Woodlands it is a great price for a whole kit.

MODEL MASTER PAINT LINE TO DISCONTINUE:

I have gotten word from the corporate offices at Hobbytown that Rustoleum, who owns testors, is planning to discontinue the entire line of model masters paints, brushes, glues, and all other modeling supplies. As well as the entire line of Aztek airbrushes and Pactra brand paints.

I wanted to give my favorite model club the inside scoop so that they can stock up on what ever your guys needed before product availability becomes an issue. I do not have any idea what the current level of supply is at my vendors to give an estimate of when that will be.

USEFUL TOOL:

X-Acto #11 Z blades.  This variant of the classic  hobby blade features a new alloy that results in a tip that is FAR sharper than standard.  It is also somehow more durable.  I keep one perfect one on a handle for cutting out decals and other critical light duty operations, and a worn blade in another  handle for most other jobs.  Results are smoother, better cuts.
